Manufactured from 100% expanded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), making it a universal joint sealant which resists high temperatures, pressures and highly corrosive media.

The tape is supplied already fitted with a self-adhesive backing for easy installation on awkwardly orientated flanges or complex profiles.

Due to its unique properties it can be easily compressed into a thin wide translucent ribbon conforming to all flange surface irregularities. The resulting gasket it strong, inert, resilient and will not deteriorate with age.

Applications

Suitable for use in all industries: Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Food, Drink, Potable Water, Pharmaceutical, Marine, Automotive, Chemical, Heating & Ventilation, Agricultural, Building, Power Generation etc. Can be used to seal all flanged connections: pipe, steam vessel and pressure vessel flanges - manway flanges, manhole covers, pump and compressor housing flanges, ventilation and flame ducts, fan housing, heat exchangers, condensers, joints in ceramic, plastic and glass pipes, vessels and components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Can be used to seal uneven and damaged flanges. Suitable for use with high or low bolt loading.
