Steam Car 1000 Cylinder Oil

Steam Car 1000 Cylinder Oil is a premium tallow-compounded steam cylinder oil from Morris Lubricants, specifically formulated for use in non-condensing steam car models and developed in close cooperation with Stanley Steam Car owners. Produced from special cylinder stock treated with fatty compounds and tallow, it forms emulsions that spread across internal surfaces to deliver a strong, reliable lubricating film on bores and valves — even in wet steam conditions or where water treatment chemicals are present in the steam.

With its advanced formulation, Steam Car 1000 not only ensures correct cylinder lubrication but also provides clear visibility in the Winker. Suitable for all steam engines operating at pressures exceeding 250 psi with either saturated or superheated steam, it offers high lubricity, minimal piston deposits, and excellent corrosion protection including over-wintering. Meets the specification requirements of British Rail schedule number MT276. Not for use where steam is recovered for boiler or process feed.
