Pilotpack 4010 Graphite PTFE Packing

Pilotpack 4010 is a premium gland packing plaited from fine, high-purity graphite filament yarn and thoroughly impregnated with PTFE. The combination of graphite's inherent high thermal conductivity and self-lubrication with PTFE impregnation produces a resilient, low-friction packing with excellent impermeability and rapid heat dissipation — factors that together ensure a long seal life across a very wide range of demanding applications.

Pilotpack 4010 is suitable for rotating pumps, reciprocating pumps and valves handling hot oils, hydrocarbons, chemicals, solvents and steam — both saturated and superheated — in refineries, petrochemical, power generation and metal processing industries. It is chemically inert across the full pH range of 0–14 and is an ideal choice for all piston and valve rod gland packing. Note: this packing should not be installed in strong oxidising environments such as hot concentrated nitric acid, highly concentrated sulphuric acid or molten alkali metals.
