Pilotgraph 4001 Pure Expanded Graphite Packing 6mm

Pilotgraph 4001 is manufactured from pure expanded graphite containing minimal amounts of trace elements such as sulphur and chloride. This ensures high thermal conductivity, very low friction and rapid heat dissipation — factors that combine to deliver a long seal life across a very wide range of demanding applications. A corrosion inhibitor is included to prevent pitting on stainless steel stems in environments prone to galvanic corrosion.

Pilotgraph 4001 is suitable for rotating pumps, reciprocating pumps and valves handling hot oils, hydrocarbons, chemicals, solvents and steam — both saturated and superheated — in refineries, petrochemical, power generation and metal processing industries. Chemically inert across the full pH range of 0–14, it is easy to cut and install and can be used to replace moulded rings, reducing stock and cost. Note: this packing should not be installed in strong oxidising environments such as hot concentrated nitric acid, highly concentrated sulphuric acid or molten alkali metals.
