Mainline 1000 Cylinder Oil - 25L
Developed specifically for steam engines operating on the national rail network where true superheat conditions are experienced on long hauls; as well as Sentinel S Type Waggons. The incorporation of selected additives ensure saturated conditions on start up or after prolonged stationary periods are correctly lubricated.
Locomotives operating under superheat conditions can cause lesser grades to form heavy carbonaceous deposits around piston rings and cylinders. These deposits, which can lead to accelerated wear, are virtually eliminated by the careful selection of base oils, additives and precisely targeted quality control testing.
Mainline 1000 Steam Cylinder Oil has a higher level of Tallow than the Morris Compound Steam Cylinder Oils.
Applications
This Rapeseed Oil free, robust formulation is able to withstand higher piston speeds, superheat temperatures with Tallow oil compounding and highly efficient surface additives to ensure water and rust resistance during operation and long after shutdown or over wintering.
Please See the Details tab to ensure than this is the correct Morris Oil for you.
