Compound Steam Cylinder Oil T
Morris Lubricants Compound Steam Cylinder Oil T
Compound Steam Cylinder Oil T is a premium tallow-compounded steam cylinder oil from Morris Lubricants, formulated for use in locomotives and stationary steam engines operating with saturated or low superheated steam up to 175 psi and temperatures up to 450°F (230°C). Produced from special cylinder stock treated with fatty compounds and tallow, it forms emulsions that spread across internal surfaces to deliver a strong, reliable lubricating film on bores, valves, and valve chests — even in wet steam conditions or where water treatment chemicals are present in the steam.
With high lubricity, minimal piston deposits, and excellent corrosion protection including over-wintering, Compound Steam Cylinder Oil T is suitable for cylinders, valve chests, slides, linkages, and general lubrication via mechanical applicators, atomisers, or oil can. Not recommended for full superheated steam, and must not be used where steam is being recovered for use as boiler or process feed.
